    It was a milestone afternoon for the #1 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers Tuesday at Buccaneers Park in Fort Myers as FSW claimed program victories numbers 499 and 500 while Bucs Head Coach Robert Iamurri joined elite company, earning his 500th career victory in a Bucs sweep over Hillsborough.

    The Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers topped the NJCAA National Rankings for the fifth straight week on Monday, checking in at #1 ahead of Region 8 rivals Northwest Florida and Indian River in the week six poll.

    The #1 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers leaned on their sophomores on Saturday in a Citrus Conference doubleheader against the #19 Eastern Florida Titans as Skylar Brennan, Virginia Mambelli, Emily Allegood, and Kmari Williams all recorded multiple hits in both ends of the twinbill to lead the Bucs past the Titans 9-1 and 7-5 to improve to 33-1 on the year.

    The St. Petersburg Titans had to make the trip back up the coast empty handed on Tuesday after three Florida SouthWestern pitchers combined for a pair of shutouts in an 8-0, 2-0 sweep in Citrus Conference action at Buccaneers Park in Fort Myers.

    The top ranked Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers used six crooked numbers to sweep Polk State Saturday afternoon in Winter Haven, run ruling the Eagles 10-2 in game one before winning a wild game two 12-7 to improve to 29-1 on the year.

    The first bona fide superstar in Florida SouthWestern Athletics history has earned her due as two-time 1st Team NJCAA All-American Courtney Gettins has become the first former Buccaneer named to the FCSAA Hall of Fame.

    The #1 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers won game one of their Tuesday doubleheader with the #6 Miami Dade Sharks 3-0 to move to 25-0 on the year, but came up just short in game two, 2-1 to suffer their first defeat of the 2025 campaign. 
  • Unbeaten Bucs Remain #1 In National Rankings

    Earning two wins over the defending National Champs and two more in Citrus Conference action, the Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers remained the #1 team in the land on Monday, holding the top spot in the NJCAA National Rankings for the second straight week with a perfect 24-0 record on the year.
  • Bucs Sweep Low Scoring Doubleheader With Saints

    It took a late game comeback in game one and a shutout in the circle in game two, but the #1 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers earned two more hard fought Citrus Conference wins on Saturday at Buccaneers Park in Fort Myers, defeating Santa Fe 3-2 in game one of the doubleheader and 3-0 in game two to improve to a perfect 24-0 on the year.

    After earning her second FCSAA Pitcher of the Week award on Monday, Florida SouthWestern freshman Zoe Yzaguirre one upped herself on Wednesday as the righthander was named the NJCAA National Pitcher of the Week, the first FSW pitcher to earn the award in nearly three years.

    After sparkling in three starts last week, Florida SouthWestern righthander Zoe Yzaguirre has been named the FCSAA Pitcher of the Week for the second time this season.
  • FSW Sweeps Matchup Of Last Four National Champs

    The only two teams to win an NJCAA Division I National Championship the past four seasons hooked up Tuesday afternoon in Fort Pierce as the 2021, 2022, and 2023 Champion Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers squared off against the 2024 Champion Indian River State Pioneers. Game one was dominated by pitching with FSW's Leah Meyer outdueling reigning National Pitcher of the Year J'dah Girigorie in a 2-1 Bucs win.  Game two was a different story as the Bucs exploded for 13 runs in a dominating 13-5 victory to finish off the sweep and remain unbeaten at a perfect 22-0 on the year.

    The #2 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers continued their domination in the circle on Saturday, throwing their sixth and seventh consecutive games allowing two or less runs in 2-0 and 3-1 wins over #13 Daytona State to improve to a perfect 20-0 on the year. 
  • Yzaguirre/Meyer Spin Shutouts Against #10 Seminole

    The #2 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers managed just four runs in their doubleheader against the #10 Seminole State Raiders Thursday afternoon at Buccaneers Park in Fort Myers, but that is all they would need as pitchers Zoe Yzaguirre and Leah Meyer combined to allow the Raiders just five hits in 16 scoreless innings as FSW won 1-0 and 3-0 to sweep the twinbill and improve to 18-0 on the year. 
  • Bucs Blow out Hawks In Citrus Openers

    The freshly ranked #2 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers put on a show in their Citrus Conference openers on Tuesday, hammering the Hillsborough Hawks 9-0 and 16-2 in a pair of run rules to remain perfect on the year at 16-0.

  • Bucs Get Three Wins For Valentine's Day Present Friday

    The #7 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers spent their 2025 Valentine's Day at the Softball diamond on Friday. The Bucs won the bookends of their tripleheader in blowout fashion, defeating Spoon River 9-0 and Chipola 7-1, while orchestrating a huge comeback for a 7-6 walk off win over #8 Southern Idaho in the middle game to remain unbeaten at 14-0 on the year. 
  • Bucs Arms Dialed In On Day One of Paradise Cove Classic

    The #7 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers remained unbeaten on Thursday, dominating their first two games of the Paradise Cove Classic presented by Retallick Financial Group by a combined score of 16-1 while four Bucs pitchers allowed just four hits in route to the victories.

    For the first time in her Florida SouthWestern State career, Buccaneers freshman Zoe Yzaguirre has been named the FCSAA Pitcher of the Week as announced by the state on Wednesday.

    After seven straight games on the road to start the 2025 season, the #7 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers graced their home field at Buccaneers Park for the first time on Tuesday, blowing out New College of Florida 14-4 and 9-1 in a pair of run rule victories to remain perfect on the season at 9-0. 
  • Pitching Dominates As Bucs Finish Undefeated in Dothan
    February 08, 2025
    After using their bats to pick up a pair of wins on day one of the Visit Dothan Invitational on Friday, the #7 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers used their arms to collect two more on Saturday as Bucs pitching allowed just one run in two games, defeating Georgia Military 3-1 before blanking Central Alabama 8-0 in game two to finish the weekend a perfect 4-0.

    The #7 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers couldn't have scripted their Opening Day much better on Sunday as the Bucs outscored their three opponents by a combined score of 34-6 while run ruling Tallahassee State, #5 Walters State, and Rend Lake in dominating fashion to begin their 2025 campaign a perfect 3-0.
