Bucs Earn Top Seed For World Series
YUMA, Ariz.- The Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers will head to the NJCAA World Series in Arizona next week as the top seeded team in the tournament after the NJCAA revealed their bracket on Tuesday with FSW drawing the #1 seed and picking up a first round bye.

The Bucs head to the desert with a 52-5 record and on a 13 game winning streak after sweeping through the FCSAA Tournament for their fourth Championship in program history last week.  FSW spent the entirety of the 2025 regular season ranked in the Top 5 Nationally before taking back over the #1 spot in the rankings late in the year.

After their first round bye, the Bucs will take the field for the first time in the tournament against the winner of the #16 McCook vs. #17 Crowder opener on Tuesday at 11 AM (MT). The other teams in the Bucs quadrant include #8 Paris and #9 Butler.

Other familiar faces in the bracket are #2 McLennan, who the Bucs defeated in the National Championship Game in 2022, #3 Northwest Florida who earned the first of eight at large bids, #12 Chipola who the Bucs defeated in the FCSAA Championship Game this season, and #13 Southern Idaho who the Bucs knocked off twice earlier this season in the Paradise Cove Classic.

The tournament gets under way on May 19th at Pacific Avenue Athletic Complex in Yuma with the Championship Game coming on May 24th .

It is the Bucs eighth trip to the World Series in nine seasons, three of them ending in hoisting the trophy.
