GREENWOOD, Ind.- 14 Florida SouthWestern Buccaneers put together years to epitomize the moniker 'student-athlete' this season, combining their performances in the classroom and on the court and fields in Fort Myers to earn 2025 CSC Academic All-District honors.
The group was led by five members of the Bucs 2024 NJCAA National Championship Volleyball team. Earning the honors were NJCAA National Player of the Year Julija Grubisic Cabo, 1st Team All-Conference performer Nina Boledovicova as well as setter Camilla Brandalise and liberos Clara Maidantchik and Anna Marzella. Four FSW Baseball players, fresh off of their first trip to the Juco World Series were named to the list. All-Conference performers Abel Albarran, Anthony Ruocco, and Nik Pereira were joined by reliever Beau Brailey on the team. Three players from the Bucs National Runner-Up Softball squad earned honors including NJCAA All-Americans Skylar Brennan and Virginia Mambelli as well as All-Conference pick Nicole Edmiaston. Rounding out the Bucs picks was a pair of players from their Citrus Conference Champion Women's Basketball team as All-Conference performers Ivy Brown and Sarah Owona claimed the honors.
To be eligible for nomination, student-athletes must be classified as sophomores both athletically and academically, have at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA, and be a starter or key role player on their team. The CSC College Division Academic All-District Team is selected among a pool of all non-NCAA or NAIA student-athletes in the country across all sports, garnering a record number of nominations in 2025.
A number of the Bucs selections will now be moved onto the voting phase for CSC Academic All-American honors which will be announced July 9th.
