Three Bucs Named to NFCA All-South Region Team
LOUISVILLE, Ky.- Following their run to the NJCAA National Championship Game, three Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers were named to the NFCA All-South Region Team released on Tuesday as Skylar Brennan and Leah Meyer were 1st Team selections while Emily Allegood drew 2nd Team honors. 
 
Skylar Brennan was a 1st Team selection following a monster sophomore season for the Bucs where she hit .448 with 22 doubles and 7 home runs while driving in 51 runs and scoring 74. Her 22 doubles were second most in a single season in FSW history while her 74 runs scored were third most. She adds NFCA All-Region honors to an already impressive 2025 resume that includes 1st Team All-FCSAA and 1st Team All-Citrus Conference as well as FCSAA Tournament MVP and NJCAA World Series All-Tournament Team. 
 
Leah Meyer was a 1st Team pick in the circle for the Bucs, going 19-1 with a 1.94 ERA in 137 1/3 innings pitched.  She struck out 118 and walked just 54 while allowing well less than a hit per inning. She finished her FSW career appearing in 69 games which is second most of any Buc all time while her 178 strikeouts ranked 7th in FSW history. 
 
The Bucs lone 2nd Team representative was third baseman Emily Allegood. Allegood hit .404 for the Bucs, racking up 18 extra base hits and accounting for 70 runs in 57 games. She fielded .950 at the hot corner for the Bucs, making just seven errors in 141 defensive chances. 
 
The Bucs finished the 2025 season 56-7 and as National Runners-Up with Citrus Conference and FCSAA Championships under their belt.
