Brennan/Wharton Capture NFCA Gold Gloves
LOUISVILLE, Ky.- A pair of Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers will have some new hardware in their trophy cases next year as sophomores Skylar Brennan and Faith Wharton became the first FSW teammates in program history to capture NFCA Gold Gloves, announced by the organization Wednesday.

Brennan started all 63 games in right field for the Bucs this season, going errorless in 55 defensive chances to earn the NFCA Gold Glove there. She was also a force on the offensive side, earning 1st Team NJCAA All-American honors, hitting .448 with 22 doubles for the Bucs.

Wharton was a workhorse behind the plate for FSW, suiting up in the armor 59 times and posting a .997 fielding percentage which was the best of any player in the state of Florida with more than 100 chances defensively. She gunned down 14 runners behind the plate which led the state of Florida and ranked 5th in all of the NJCAA.

Brennan and Wharton become the second and third Bucs in program history to earn the award, following Sydney McCray who picked up her Gold Glove in 2023.  They are the first two Bucs to win the award in the same season in program history.
