FSW Sophomore Spotlight- Nicole Edmiaston- Stetson

FORT MYERS, Fla.- After helping the Florida SouthWestern Buccaneers to over 100 wins the past two seasons, sophomore Nicole Edmiaston is moving onto the Division I level next season after signing with Stetson University to play for the Hatters in 2026.

Edmiaston was a 1st Team All-Citrus Conference selection this season for the Bucs hitting .398 with 14 doubles, 3 home runs, and 48 RBIs.  She also walked 18 times and struck out just 7 times in 171 at bats to give her a .994 OPS on the year. She had 15 multi-hit games on the year including a pair at the FCSAA Championships where she hit .750 with an RBI in all three games to earn All-Tournament Team honors. She wrapped up her Buccaneer career in style as well, picking up hits in each of FSW's final five games at the NJCAA World Series while accounting for 8 runs with 4 RBIs and 4 runs scored. Also a star in the classroom, Edmiaston was an NJCAA 3rd Team All-Academic performer as a freshman last year and was a member of the CSC Academic All-District Team this year as a sophomore.

In Edmiaston's two seasons in Fort Myers the Bucs compiled a 113-17 overall record with two Conference Championships, an FCSAA Championship, and two Top 10 finishes at the NJCAA World Series.

She will join a Hatters squad coming off of a big bounce back season that saw them more than double their win total from the previous year, going 33-28 overall and reaching the ASUN Semifinals.

Edmiaston is one of six Bucs to sign at the Division I level and one of seven overall to sign to move on, joining Skylar Brennan (Illinois), Emilly Allegood (Campbell), Virginia Mambelli (South Alabama), Kmari Williams (FGCU), Leah Meyer (Abilene Christian), and Faith Wharton (Eckerd).
