Citrus Conference All-Conference Team Loaded With Bucs

TALLAHASSEE, Fla.- The Citrus Conference Champion Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers filled the All-Citrus Conference Team released on Friday as 12 Buccaneers were honored by the league while Head Coach Robert Iamurri was named the Coach of the Year once again.

The Bucs had seven players named to the 1st Team All-Conference squad including two infielders, two outfielders, two pitchers, and an at large selection.

On the dirt it was Virginia Mambelli and Emily Allegood both earning All-Conference honors for the second straight season.  Mambelli ranked in the Top 10 in the Citrus Conference this season in batting average (.399), doubles (15), and RBIs (50), while tying for the Bucs team lead with 6 home runs.  Joining her was Allegood who was the model of consistency once again in 2025, hitting .403 with 11 doubles and 3 home runs while knocking in 27 runs during the regular season.

Skylar Brennan and Noelani Livingstone were both picked to the 1st Team in the outfield for the Bucs.  Brennan had a breakout sophomore season, ranking in the Top 5 in the league in batting average at .429 and doubles with 17 while accounting for 99 runs during the regular season with 63 scored and 36 knocked in. Joining her was Livingstone who picks up the honors as a freshman after finishing 2nd in the conference with a .439 batting average while scoring 53 runs and stealing 30 bases at the top of the FSW order this season.

Staff ace Leah Meyer and freshman phenom Lizzy Kwakernaak were both chosen to the 1st Team in the circle for the Bucs. Meyer dialed up 17 wins during the regular season which ranked 3rd in the conference while posting a 1.72 ERA in a team best 126 innings of work.  Kwakernaak finished 13-2 while racking up 81 strikeouts in 79 innings pitched and posting a 1.77 ERA on the year.

The Bucs final 1st Team pick was slugger Nicole Edmiaston who hit .398 with 11 doubles and 41 runs during the regular season, posting a .958 OPS in 52 contests.

FSW also had five players make the 2nd Team All-Conference list.

The Bucs had a pair of 2nd Team pitchers in freshmen McKenzie Bailey-McDowell and Zoe Yzaguirre.  Bailey-McDowell threw in 20 games for the Bucs as a rookie, going 7-1 with a 1.50 ERA.  She logged 56 innings and allowed just 46 hits to opposing batters. Yzaguirre finished the regular season a perfect 9-0 with a 1.43 ERA in 54 innings pitched while racking up 68 strikeouts for the Bucs.

Megan Veilleux earned 2nd Team honors in the outfield, hitting .341 with 7 doubles, 4 home runs, and 33 RBIs while playing in 52 games for the Bucs.

Kmari Williams picked up 2nd Team honors in the infield, playing in 50 games and hitting .362 while swiping 18 bases during the regular season.

The Bucs final selection was catcher Faith Wharton who contributed on both sides of the ball, hitting .294 with 27 RBIs while also ranking in the Top 5 Nationally, throwing out 13 would be basestealers behind the plate.

And last but not least was Bucs Head Coach Robert Iamurri who was named the Citrus Conference Coach of the Year after leading the Bucs to their ninth straight Conference Championship in 2025. FSW finished the regular season 49-5 and ranked #2 in the NJCAA National Poll.

The Bucs now turn their attention to the postseason where they begin their run at the FCSAA Championships on Wednesday where they take on the winner of the Miami Dade/Gulf Coast Wild Card Game at 4 PM in Clearwater.
