    The #19 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers were stunned by the St. Petersburg Titans in the closing seconds of their contest Tuesday night at Suncoast Credit Union Arena, dropping a 71-70 decision after multiple close in shots to win it at the final horn missed their marks.

    Split results at the 2022 Best Western Classic was good enough for the Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers to keep a spot in the NJCAA Top 25 on Monday as the Bucs slid one spot down to #19 in the week three poll with their 5-2 record.
  • Sophomore Trio Leads Bucs Past Saints

    The three headed monster of Jayla Murray, Macarena Retamales, and Aaliyah Williams combined for 50 of the Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers' 67 points Saturday afternoon on the road at Santa Fe, leading the Bucs to a tight 67-63 win to push FSW to 5-2 on the early season.
  • Bucs Tripped Up By Titans

    The #18 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers squared off with the #13 Eastern Florida State Titans in an early season Top 20 matchup Friday afternoon in Gainesville.  Jayla Murray poured in a game high 23 points for the Bucs, but outside of Murray's effort, FSW shot just 27% from the floor, dropping a 74-54 decision to fall to 4-2 on the year.

    Following a 2-1 weekend in the Bucs Club Classic over the weekend, the Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers remained in the Top 20 of the NJCAA National Rankings this week, checking in at #18, down one spot from the first poll of the regular season last week.

    As the old saying goes, it's not how you start, it's how you finish, and thankfully for the #17 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers, that saying came true on Sunday in Suncoast Credit Union Arena as after a slow start, the Bucs dug themselves out of an early hole with a big second half to defeat the Pensacola State Pirates 77-67 to conclude their action in the Bucs Club Classic. 
  • Williams Career High 21 Not Enough In Bucs Loss to #6 CSI

    Aaliyah Williams scored a career high 21 points, but it wasn't enough as the #17 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers fell 60-56 to the #6 College of Southern Idaho Golden Eagles Saturday night at Suncoast Arena in Fort Myers for their first loss of the 2022-2023 season.

  • Bucs Earn Early Season Statement Win

    To say the Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers felt slighted when they weren't announced as part of the preseason NJCAA Top 25 Rankings may be a bit of an understatement. The Bucs certainly made their case to be part of the next rankings on Saturday, holding #2 Shelton State to just 28% shooting in a 58-48 victory, the highest ranked opponent the FSW program has ever defeated.

    The Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers tipped off their 2022-2023 season on the road in Morristown, Tennessee on Friday, shellacking the defending NJCAA National Tournament runners-up, Georgia Highlands by a count of 69-43 to get their campaign started off with a bang.
