Curry Returns to Bucs as Assistant Coach
FORT MYERS, Fla.- Former Florida SouthWestern guard Tonysha Curry is coming back to her roots as Bucs Head Coach Jerald Ellis has announced her hiring as an Assistant Coach for the 2023-2024 season.

Curry was an All-Conference selection for FSW in 2019, averaging 7.4 points and 5.8 rebounds per game while leading the Bucs to the NJCAA National Tournament.  FSW went 30-4 with Curry at the reins, going undefeated to win the Suncoast Conference Championship before winning their first National Tournament game in program history in Lubbock.

After graduating from FSW, Curry went on to play at the Division I level at both Stetson University and Indiana State University where she saw action in 71 games over three seasons including drawing 32 starts for the Hatters and the Sycamores.

Curry then remained in Terra Haute where she joined the Indiana State staff as a Graduate Assistant last season to begin her coaching career.

Curry comes back to join the Bucs who are coming off of a 20-9 campaign in 2022-2023 which saw them pull off a first round upset at the FCSAA State Tournament against #9 Gulf Coast State before coming up just short against eventual National Champions Northwest Florida State in the tournament semifinals.
