  • Bucs Break Home Run Record in Route of Defending Champs

    The #16 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers launched a pair of home runs in a 15 hit attack to break the program single season team record with 70 long balls on the season in an 11-3 route of the defending National Champion Central Florida Patriots at Buccaneers Park in Fort Myers on Thursday.

    The #16 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers took care of business Tuesday afternoon at home at Buccaneers Park, jumping out to an early lead and cruising to an 8-3 win over the visiting South Florida State Panthers to improve to 29-14 on the year.

    The Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers moved back into the NJCAA Top 20 on Monday, checking in at #16 after going 3-1 on the week and being ranked the #1 team in the FCSAA Coaches Poll this week.

    After dropping game one of their Citrus Conference doubleheader 5-4 Saturday afternoon against the Santa Fe Saints, Florida SouthWestern freshman dialed up the best performance of his rookie season with the Bucs, throwing a one hit shutout in a 10-0 five inning run rule shortened contest to win the series from the Saints 2-1 and remain in first place in the conference standings with nine games left to go.

    The Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers bats continued their onslaught of Citrus Conference pitching, ripping eight extra base hits, including four home runs, two from Nate Earley, to blow past the Santa Fe Saints 16-10 in game one of their three game conference set Thursday in Gainesville.

    Victor Figueroa hit a pair of home runs and tied the Florida SouthWestern single game record with nine RBIs to lead the Buccaneers over the St. Petersburg Titans 19-7 in non-conference action Tuesday night in Clearwater.

    The Florida SouthWestern Buccaneers kept a big crowd on the edge of their seats Saturday afternoon at Buccaneers Park in Fort Myers, coming from behind in both ends of a Citrus Conference doubleheader with three runs in the 5th inning of a 4-2 game one win and a walk off single from Justin Thomas in the bottom of the 9th in a 10-9 win in game two over the visiting Daytona State Falcons. 
  • Burch Punches Out 11 For Bucs in Series Opening Win

    Landen Burch struck out 11 and Cooper Clapp homered as the Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers earned a 9-3 win over the Daytona State Falcons in the two team's Citrus Conference series opener Thursday afternoon on the Surf Coast.

    17 hits and four home runs weren't enough for the Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers on Tuesday as the Indian River State Pioneers scored in eight of nine innings in a 16-12 shootout win at Buccaneers Park in Fort Myers.

    The Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers and Eastern Florida State Titans traded a pair of blowouts Saturday afternoon in Melbourne with Eastern taking a 9-1 decision in game one before FSW answered with a 15-6 run rule win in game two of the doubleheader to salvage the split.

    The Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers suffered a 5-4 loss to the Eastern Florida State Titans Thursday afternoon at home at Buccaneers Park in Fort Myers, fighting back from a 5-1 deficit to make it a one run game late, but couldn't come up with the equalizer as they fell to 20-12 on the year. 
  • Bucs Tripped Up In Non-League Action

    The Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers allowed just three hits Tuesday night on the road at State College of Florida, but 11 walks, three hit batters, and a pair of errors allowed the Manatees to come away with a 7-2 win over the Bucs in non-conference action at Wynn Field in Bradenton. 
  • Saturday Split Earns Bucs Series Win Against Seminole

    The #18 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers didn't make it easy Saturday afternoon at Buccaneers Park in Fort Myers, but they did enough to earn a doubleheader split against the visiting Seminole State Raiders to win their Citrus Conference series 2-1 to remain in first place in the conference standings at the midway point of the conference schedule.  
  • Ninth Inning Comeback Nets Bucs Extra Innings Win

    One thing the #18 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers fans have learned this season is, never leave the ballpark early. That was the case once again on Thursday as down to their last out in the 9th inning against Seminole State, the Bucs got a game tying RBI single from Michael McAloose to send the game to extras where a two run single from Nate Earley won it in 10 as FSW took the series opener 8-5 over the Raiders to remain in first place in the Citrus Conference standings.

    Nate Earley homered twice and drove in three, but it wasn't enough for the #18 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers as Bucs pitching allowed 13 hits and walked 10 in a 15-6 run rule loss to Indian River State in non-conference action Tuesday in Fort Pierce.

  • Bucs Launch Six Homers In Doubleheader Split

    The #17 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers launched six home runs in their Saturday doubleheader with the State College of Florida Manatees but it was only good enough for a split as the Bucs took game one 11-5 before seeing the Manatees storm back with a seven run 7th in game two to win the game 13-7 and take the series 2-1.

    The #17 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers' five game winning streak came to an empathic end Thursday afternoon at Buccaneers Park in Fort Myers as the State College of Florida Manatees came in and hammered the Bucs 11-3 in an eight inning run rule to start a big three game Citrus Conference series between the two.

    An expected wet afternoon across the Florida Peninsula has forced more changes to the Florida SouthWestern athletic schedule on Tuesday. The Bucs scheduled Baseball game against Indian River on the road in Fort Pierce Tuesday has been postponed.

    The Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers went into this weekend tied for first place in the Citrus Conference standings with the Hillsborough Hawks. After a three home run day from Victor Figueroa and six hits from Justin Thomas to lead the Bucs to a Saturday sweep of the Hawks, FSW leaves the weekend with both a three game lead in the conference standings on Hillsborough as well as six other teams tied for second at 5-4 in conference play after three weekends of action. 
  • Burch & Bullpen Set Up More Late Game Heroics For Bucs

    Things didn't look good for the Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers Thursday afternoon in Tampa as they fell behind 5-0 right off the bat in game one of their three game battle for first series with the upstart Hillsborough Hawks. That's when Landen Burch came in to save the day, throwing six scoreless innings out of the bullpen to allow the Bucs to get back into the game before Mr. Clutch Victor Figueroa blasted a three run home run in the 8th to put the Bucs ahead for good as FSW knocked off the Hawks 7-5 in dramatic fashion to begin the series. 
  • Bucs Blowout Titans In Midweek Tilt

    Two weeks ago, the Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers needed extra innings twice to defeat the St. Petersburg Titans in their three game sweep, simply put, Tuesday that was not the case as the Bucs got homers from Nate Earley and Jared Davis and a solid outing on the mound from four hurlers in a 12-2 run rule win to improve to 14-6 on the year. 
  • Bucs Earn Hard Fought Split to Take Series

    The #16 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers wrapped up a hard fought series with the Indian River Pioneers with a split on Saturday to win their second straight Citrus Conference series to begin the year, falling 3-2 in game one in a walk off before using a late game comeback for a 6-3 win in game two to take the series.

    For the second straight game the #16 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers rode a roller coaster to the finish line at Buccaneers Park in Fort Myers. Thursday it was an 8-0 lead that disappeared before Victor Figueroa hit a 9th inning, game tying home run for the second straight game, before Salvador Alvarez walked the Indian River Pioneers off 13-12 in 12 innings to give FSW their ninth consecutive victory.

    Florida SouthWestern lefty Jordan Huskey earned FCSAA Pitcher of the Week honors on Tuesday after his complete game shutout of St. Petersburg in Citrus Conference play on Saturday. 
  • Pereira Earns FCSAA Player of the Week Nod

    After leading the Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers to a perfect 4-0 week last week, redshirt freshman utility man Nik Pereira has been named the FCSAA Player of the Week in a state release Tuesday.
