    After starting 104 games for the Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers the past two seasons, sophomore infielder D’Yani McKinley has found her home at the next level as the Bucs speedster has signed her National Letter of Intent to play at Prairie View A&M University for the 2024-2025 season.

  • 38 Bucs Earn NJCAA All-Academic Team Honors

    Following another strong season on the court and in the field for the Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers, their accomplishments in the classroom once again matched that success as 38 Bucs were named to the NJCAA All-Academic Teams on Thursday for posting a 3.60 or better GPA for the 2023-2024 school year.
  • Eight Bucs Earn CSC Academic All-District Honors

    Following another outstanding year both in the classroom and in competition, eight Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers have earned CSC Academic All-District honors for the 2023-2024 academic year. The Bucs eight student-athletes honored were the only junior college student-athletes in the state of Florida to earn the honors.
  • Bucs Ace Named NJCAA All-American

    After leading the Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers to a Citrus Conference Championship and a 7th place finish at the NJCAA World Series, sophomore pitcher Lea Chevrier has been named a Third Team NJCAA All-American, marking the eighth straight season an FSW pitcher has been named an All-American. 
  • Chevrier & McCray Named NFCA All-Americans

    After wrapping up their prestigious two year careers with the Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers last week at the NJCAA World Series in Oxford, Alabama, FSW sophomores Lea Chevrier and Sydney McCray have been named All-Americans by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association.

    A trio of Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers were named to the NFCA All-South Region Team this week as Lea Chevrier and Sydney McCray were named 1st Team selections while catcher Sietske Drijvers was tabbed a 2nd Team pick.
  • Bucs 2024 Season Ends On Walk Off Heartbreaker

    The #3 Florida SouthWesten State Buccaneers were one out away from moving on in the NJCAA World Series on Thursday but weren't able to close things out against the #17 Galveston Whitecaps as Galveston scored a 7th inning run to send the game to extras before walking the Bucs off in the 8th 2-1 to end FSW's hope of winning a fourth straight NJCAA National Championship. 
  • Bucs Roar Past Lions at NJCAA World Series

    The #3 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers jumped on the Wallace State Lions early and never looked back Wednesday night under the lights at the NJCAA World Series in Oxford, Alabama, scoring the game's first five runs before cruising to a 7-1 win to remain alive and advance to the round of eight.

    The #3 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers remained alive at the NJCAA World Series in Alabama on Wendesday morning, blowing out #16 Chattanooga State 10-2 in their second straight elimination bracket run rule game. 
  • Bucs Drop World Series Opener, Bounce Back With Elimination Game Shutout

    If the #3 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers are going to bring their fourth straight NJCAA National Championship home this season, they are going to have to do it the hard way after dropping their 2024 World Series opener to Odessa 12-7 Tuesday in Oxford, Alabama before beginning their long road back with an 8-0 shutout win over Abraham Baldwin to wrap up their first day of action at the tournament.

    Florida SouthWestern Sports Information Director Roy Allen was recently honored by the NJCAA at it's National Convention in Charlotte as he was named the 2024 NJCAA National Sports Information Director of the Year.

    After a few sleepless nights, the Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers got the news they had hoped for on Tuesday as the Bucs were announced as one of four at-larges to the NJCAA Division I Softball World Series, giving FSW the ticket back to Oxford, Alabama to look for their fourth straight NJCAA National Championship.

    After winning an NJCAA National Championship in Alabama last season, Florida SouthWestern sophomore Esmee Ames will be headed back to the Heart of Dixie as she has signed her National Letter of Intent to play for Troy University next season.
  • FSW Drops Late Night Shootout to End Run In Clearwater

    If the #3 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers are going to get a chance to defend their NJCAA National Championship, the ticket to do so will have to come in the form of an at-large bid from the NJCAA Softball Committee as FSW dropped a 12-11 shootout to Eastern Florida State late Friday night to be eliminated from the South Atlantic District Tournament in Clearwater.

    The #3 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers run at a second straight FCSAA State Championship came to an end Thursday night under the lights in Clearwater as they were unable to overcome a late push by the #7 Indian River State Pioneers in a 9-6 loss in the State Semifinals.

    The #3 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers rode the roller coaster in their FCSAA State Tournament opener against the Eastern Florida State Titans Wednesday afternoon in Clearwater, falling behind early 4-0 before coming back to take an 8-4 lead, just to hang on late with the tying runs in scoring position for an 8-6 win to move on to the tournament semifinals.

    Six Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers were honored by the State ahead of the FCSAA State Tournament on Wednesday as D’Yani McKinley, Lea Chevrier, and Sietske Drijvers led the group as 1st Team All-State selections while Sydney McCray, Esmee Ames, and Virginia Mambelli were named 2nd Team All-State picks.

    On the heels of their eighth straight Conference Championship, a league high 10 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers were honored by the Citrus Conference on Friday as eight Bucs were named 1st Team All-Conference with Lea Chevrier honored as the Pitcher of the Year and Head Coach Robert Iamurri the Coach of the Year.

    The #3 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers won a Conference Championship in the third different conference in the past three seasons on Saturday afternoon at Buccaneers Park in Fort Myers, sweeping the Polk State Eagles to give the Bucs their eighth consecutive Conference Title overall and their first in the inaugural year of the Citrus Conference.

    For the second time this season, Florida SouthWestern sophomore Sydney McCray has been named the FCSAA Player of the Week after hitting .667 across four Buccaneer games last week.
  • #3 FSW Splits With #4 Indian River to Claim 50th Win

    For the second time during the 2024 regular season, the Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers and the Indian River Pioneers collided in an NJCAA Top 5 matchup Tuesday afternoon in Fort Pierce and for the second time the showdown ended in a split as #4 Indian River took game one 8-5 before #3 FSW captured game two 7-3 for their 50th win of the season. The Bucs reach the 50 win mark for the seventh time in eight complete seasons since their inception in 2016.

    It was a tale of two games for the #3 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers on Saturday at Buccaneers Park in Fort Myers as FSW dominated the visiting Eastern Florida State Titans 11-0 in a five inning run rule in game one of the doubleheader before being forced to hang on late for a 6-5 win in game two to finish off the sweep and run their winning streak to 11 games.
