Trio of Bucs Named to NFCA All-Region Team
LOUISVILLE, Ky.- A trio of Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers were named to the NFCA All-South Region Team this week as Lea Chevrier and Sydney McCray were named 1st Team selections while catcher Sietske Drijvers was tabbed a 2nd Team pick. 
 
Chevrier pitched in 37 games for the Bucs this season, going 25-1 with four saves in 155 2/3 innings pitched. She notched a 1.80 ERA and struck out 148 opposing batters to give her 261 in her Buccaneer career.  She was named the Citrus Conference Pitcher of the Year while earning 1st Team FCSAA All-State and All-Citrus Conference honors. 
 
McCray earns NFCA All-Region honors for the second straight season.  She played in all 67 games for the Bucs this season, hitting .347 while tying the program single season record with 80 runs scored.  She was a terror on the bases for opposing defenses, stealing 51 bases in 53 chances on the year. 
 
Drijvers picks up 2nd Team honors after strapping on the gear 64 times for FSW this season behind the plate. She finished the season hitting .347 with 54 RBIs and 62 runs scored while throwing out 16 would be basestealers on the year.  
 
FSW finished the 2024 season 57-10 overall while winning their eighth straight Conference Championship and qualifying for the NJCAA World Series for the fourth straight season where they finished 7th.
