  • Bucs Volleyball Named to AVCA Team Academic Honor Roll

    The Florida SouthWestern Volleyball program got it done both on the court this season, where they won their third straight NJCAA National Championship, and off the court, where Monday they were one of just four NJCAA Division I programs in the country to be named to the 2025 AVCA Team Academic Award Honor Roll.

    Not only did the Florida SouthWestern Volleyball team prove themselves as the top team in the country on the court this season, they also turned out to be not so bad in the classroom as Thursday the Bucs were announced as the 2025 FCSAA Female Academic Team of the Year as the top academic team across all sports in the FCSSA this year.
  • Grubisic Cabo Earns 1st Team Academic All-American Honors From CSC

    After being showered with awards for her performance on the court during the 2024 season, Florida SouthWestern sophomore Julija Grubisic Cabo was honored for her work in the classroom on Tuesday as she was one of just 13 student-athletes across all sports Nationwide to be named a 2025 CSC 1st Team Academic All-American.
  • Grubisic Cabo Named FCSAA Female Athlete of the Year

    For the first time in Florida SouthWestern history, the FCSAA Female Athlete of the Year award will reside in Fort Myers for the next year as Volleyball superstar Julija Grubisic Cabo has earned the award, making her the first Buccaneer in school history to do so.

    The Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers have found their next Head Volleyball Coach as veteran coach and former NJCAA National Champion Cesar Benatti has been named the Bucs second Head Coach in program history as announced by Director of Athletics George Sanders on Wednesday.

    After leading the Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers to three straight NJCAA National Championship, the only Head Coach in FSW Volleyball history, Thais Baziquetto-Allen, has resigned to take over the Head Coaching position at Florida Gulf Coast University.

    A trio of Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers were honored by the American Volleyball Coaches Association in their postseason awards release recently as Julija Grubisic Cabo was named a 1st Team All-American, Abby Toeniskoetter was named a 2nd Team All-American, and Head Coach Thais Baziquetto-Allen was named the Northeast/Southeast Regional Coach of the Year.

    For the third consecutive season, the NJCAA National Player of the Year award belongs to a Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneer as Thursday, the NJCAA announced that sophomore Julija Grubisic Cabo was the 2024 recipient after leading FSW to a 26-1 record and a record third straight NJCAA Division I National Championship.
  • Koehler & Purashaj Set to Become First Bucs to Play in NCAA Tournament

    The Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers made NJCAA history Saturday night in Clarksville, Tennessee, defeating their arch rivals, the Miami Dade Sharks to win their third consecutive NJCAA National Championship, the first team to do that in the Division I era.  
  • Bucs Outlast Utah State Eastern in National Tournament Thriller

    Going into Thursday's NJCAA National Tournament Quarterfinal matchup with the #8 Utah State Eastern Golden Eagles, the #1 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers had only gone more than three sets three times during the entirety of the 2024 season. Thursday they had their work cut out for them though as the Golden Eagles took them to the brink, but the Bucs didn't falter, pulling out a thrilling five set win, including a 15-13 victory in the fifth to punch their ticket to Friday's Final Four. 
  • FSW Punches Ticket to Third Straight National Championship Game

    For the third straight season, the #1 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers will play for the NJCAA National Championship after defeating the #10 Colby Trojans 3-0 in Friday's semifinal round to punch their ticket to the title game where they will square off with a familiar foe, the #2 Miami Dade Sharks in a rematch of both the 2022 and 2023 National Championship games won by the Bucs.

    The #1 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers began their quest for a three peat with a bang on Wednesday at the NJCAA National Tournament in Clarksville, Tennessee, hitting .397 as a team and registering 12 blocks in a 3-0 sweep of Eastern Wyoming in their opening match of the week.

  • Bucs Roll To District Championship, Punch Ticket to Nationals

    The top ranked Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers punched their ticket to the NJCAA National Tournament for the fifth consecutive season Saturday afternoon in Spartanburg, South Carolina, exterminating the USC Sumter Fire Ants 3-0 in the NJCAA Atlantic District Championship in their first step in defending their back to back NJCAA National Championships.

  • #1 FSW Sweeps #2 Miami Dade For Third Straight State Championship

    For the third straight season, the Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers and the Miami Dade Sharks met for the FCSAA State Championship Saturday afternoon in Fort Myers and also for the third straight season, the Bucs came out on top, sweeping the rival Sharks 3-0 in a spirited Suncoast Credit Union Arena to claim the title in front of their home fans.
  • Bucs Dispatch Daytona, Advance to State Championship Game

    Three things are certain in life; taxes, death, and Florida SouthWestern and Miami Dade meeting in the FCSAA State Championship Game.  That remained true on Friday as #1 FSW hammered Daytona State in their State Tournament Semifinal before #2 Miami Dade did the same to Hillsborough in the night cap to set up the Championship matchup for the third straight season Saturday afternoon at 4 PM at Suncoast Arena in Fort Myers. 
  • Six Bucs Named All-Conference, Grubisic Cabo Player of the Year

    After winning their fifth straight Conference Championship this season, six Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers were named to the All-Citrus Conference Team Thursday night at the FCSAA State Tournament banquet while sophomore Julija Grubisic Cabo was named the Player of the Year and Head Coach Thais Baziquetto-Allen was named the Coach of the Year.
