FSW Sophomore Spotlight- Nina Boledovicova- Virginia Commonwealth
FORT MYERS, Fla.- With a pair of NJCAA National Championships on her resume, Florida SouthWestern sophomore Nina Boledovicova is headed up the coast next season as the two-time All-Conference performer will play at Virginia Commonwealth University.

Boledovicova started 58 matches for the Buccaneers the past two season, finishing her career averaging 1.73 kills and 1.02 blocks per set. She finished her FSW career with 173 total blocks which ranks 4th in program history while her .406 hitting percentage is the 2nd best of any player to ever wear the Purple and Aqua. She was a two-time All-Conference performer, earning 2nd Team All-Citrus Conference honors as a freshman and one upping that into 1st Team accolades as a sophomore in 2024. Also a star in the classroom, Boledovicova graduated FSW with a perfect 4.0 GPA and is a two-time NJCAA 1st Team All-Academic Team selection.

In Boledovicova's two seasons with the Bucs, FSW finished 57-2 overall, won two Citrus Conference Championships, two FCSAA Championships, and a pair of NJCAA National Championships.

Boledovicova will join a VCU program coming off of an 18-9 campaign which saw them finish 2nd in the A-10 standings with a 16-2 mark in league play. She will look to get the Rams over the hump after VCU has been on the doorstep of the NCAA Tournament the last few years, but haven't able to punch their ticket since the 2017 campaign.

Boledovicova is one of eight Buccaneer sophomores to sign at the next level for 2025 including one of six at the NCAA Division I level.  She is joined by Camilala Brandalise (Virginia Tech), Julija Grubisic Cabo & Abby Toeniskoetter (Florida Gulf Coast), Anna Marzella (Southern Utah), Nele Broszat (Cal State Bakersfield), Clara Maidantchik (Lynn), and Sofia Augusto (Palm Beach Atlantic).
