Top 10 FSW Athletics Moments of 2020-2021: #9 Williams' Monster Double-Double

FORT MYERS, Fla.- We continue our countdown of the Top 10 FSW Athletics Moments of the 2020-2021 year today with our #9 moment; Patience Williams 32 point, 18 rebound double-double versus Palm Beach.

Florida SouthWestern Head Coach Dr. Jerald Ellis knew he had something special a year ago when he signed Patience Williams out of Minneapolis' Benilde St. Margaret High School, but even he may not have known exactly how special until February 27th, which brought us our #9 moment on the countdown, Williams' monster double-double against Palm Beach.

Coming into the game, Williams had been good for the Bucs, averaging 15 points and 12 rebounds per game through FSW's first five games of the season, but she took that to a different level against the Panthers, exploding for a career high 32 points and 18 rebounds in 36 minutes of action, etching her name solidly into the Bucs' record books in the process. Her 32 points were sixth most in a game in FSW history while her 18 rebounds ranked fourth.

Williams went on to lead the Bucs to their fourth straight conference championship while being named the Southern Conference Player of the Year and a Third Team NJCAA All-American.  She signed with the University of South Florida at the conclusion of the season and will play for the Bulls next season in Tampa.

Check back in tomorrow as we continue our countdown with the #8 moment of the 2020-2021 FSW Athletics Year provided by the Bucs Volleyball team!
