Watson Signs With Mountaineers For 2025
FORT MYERS, Fla.- Florida SouthWestern lefthander Reyn Watson will join back up with Bucs teammate Nate Earley next season at Appalachian State after signing alongside him and nine other FSW Baseball players on National Signing Day in Suncoast Credit Union Arena.

Watson was a busy man in the Bucs bullpen last season, throwing in 17 games and going 1-0 with a 4.40 ERA.  He chalked up nearly a strikeout per inning with 29 punchouts in 30 2/3 innings pitched.  He put together three straight scoreless appearances midway through the year covering 5 1/3 innings of one hit baseball against A3 Academy, Polk State, and St. Petersburg, striking out seven and walking just one along the way.

Watson signs with an App State squad that put together a solid 2023 campaign, going 30-25 overall and 16-13 in Sun Belt Conference action. After being picked 12th in the preseason coaches poll, the Mountaineers defied expectations, making a run all the way to the final four of the conference tournament before falling to #16 Southern Mississippi.

Watson will join teammate Nate Earley at App State next season and the pair are two of 11 overall early signees for the Bucs this season joining Justin Thomas (Arkansas), Landon O'Donnell (Florida State), Jared Davis (Virginia Tech), Victor Figueroa and Isaac Upole (Pittsburgh), Alex Walsh (Oklahoma State),  Logan O'Leary (UNC-Charlotte), Luca Danos (Loyola Marymount), and Jahir Perez (Southeastern).
