FORT MYERS, Fla.- Florida SouthWestern freshman Satchell Norman was selected in the 15th round of the 2022 Major League Baseball Draft by the Milwaukee Brewers on Tuesday making him the first Buccaneers freshman position player ever taken in the draft.

Norman had an electric rookie season for the Bucs, setting a new program single season record with a .376 average while clubbing 16 doubles and 10 home runs both of which rank second in program history. He earned 1st Team All-Conference and 1st Team All-State accolades for the Suncoast Conference Champion Buccaneers, playing in 52 games and reaching base at a .465 clip while slugging .667.
