Bucs Jump Back Into National Top 10 After 4-0 Week
CHARLOTTE, N.C.- The Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers jumped back into the Top 10 of the NJCAA National Rankings on Monday, moving up two spots to #9 after a perfect 4-0 week to seal up their third straight Suncoast Conference Championship.

The Bucs had a unique week last week, defeating each of their Suncoast Conference foes once to improve to 38-14 on the year. In the process FSW locked up their third straight conference title and with just one conference date remaining, the Bucs will win the league title by no less than a four game margin.

There was quite a bit of movement in the week nine poll with a pair of new teams, including the Bucs in the Top 10 while three others moved eight or more spots in the poll.  Walters State held their spot on top with Wabash Valley, Chipola, McLennan, and Crowder rounding out the Top 5.  FSW was one of four FCSAA teams in the poll with Chipola leading the way at #3, the Bucs at #9, Central Florida shooting up to #11, and Miami Dade at #18. The four will all host Region VIII Tournament playoff series next weekend.

The Bucs wrap up the regular season on Wednesday when they travel to Bradenton to take on State College of Florida and will then have a nine day layoff before hosting the runners-up from the Southern Conference on May 6-7 in a best two out of three playoff series to kick off the Region VIII Tournament.
