Bucs Righthander Inks at Erskine

FORT MYERS, Fla.- You have heard of the infamous Flying Dutchman ship and now the Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers have a Dutch man heading to the Flying Fleet as big righthander Daniel Vos has signed to play at Erskine College in South Carolina next season.

Vos pitched in 20 games as a Buc the past two seasons, logging 18 2/3 innings and a 6.75 ERA along the way.  Coincidentally, he pitched in exactly 10 games and threw exactly 9 1/3 innings in both his first and second years in Fort Myers.

The Bucs were 60-27 in Vos' two seasons, capturing a Suncoast Conference Championship and earning their first two postseason wins in program history this season.

He will join an Erskine squad that went 23-20 in 2021 and posted a 19-13 mark in Conference Carolinas action.  The Flying Fleet finished third in conference play to qualify for the Conference Carolinas Tournament where they saw their season come to an end at the hands of perennial power Mount Olive.

Vos is the ninth Buc to sign to compete at the next level off of this year's team, joining Antonio Knowles (Florida), Luis Tuero (Arizona), Carter Cunningham (East Carolina), Marc Davis (South Florida), Warnner Rincones (Louisiana-Lafayette), Robert Wegielnik (Florida Atlantic), Daniel Maldonado (Cumberlands), and Matt Whitney (McPherson).
