FORT MYERS, Fla.- The Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers used an 11 hit attack and held the visiting Eastern Florida State Titans to just four Saturday afternoon at City of Palms Park in Downtown Fort Myers to win their fifth straight contest in a 10-2 blowout to sweep the back to back home and home between the two.

Eastern Florida took a quick 1-0 lead in the 1st inning, but the Bucs evened the score in their first at bats with an RBI single from Christian Lucio to make it 1-1 after one inning of action.

Brendan Koester came out of the FSW bullpen in the 4th to work the Bucs out of trouble and gave the Bucs a chance to take their first lead of the afternoon.

That they did in the 5th, getting an RBI double from Jordon Campbell, RBI singles from Matthew Corpas and Carter Cunningham, and a two run single from Noah Heisler to open up a 7-1 lead after five complete.

The cushion was more enough for Koester and the Bucs bullpen as he and Ronaldo Fernandez kept the Titans at bay for the final four innings while the FSW offense added three more in the 7th to finish off a 10-2 win.

The Bucs finished with 11 hits in the win, getting two hits and an RBI a piece from Cunningham, Corpas, and Lucio, who also combined to steal seven bases in the contest.  Alex Ayala was good on the mound for the Bucs, going three innings and allowing just three hits and one run before giving way to the FSW bullpen.  Koester earned his second win of the year, going 2 2/3 and yielding just one hit to the Titans.  Fernandez earned his first save of the year with three hitless innings with three strikeouts to close things out.

The win is the fifth straight for FSW who improves to 13-6 on the year while Eastern Florida falls to 6-9 overall and has lost six of their last seven against NJCAA competition.

The Bucs will have another quick turnaround on Monday when they travel to New Port Richey to take on Pasco-Hernando in another non-conference tuneup.
