FORT MYERS, Fla.- The Florida SouthWestern State Baseball team broke out the bats on Wendesday night at City of Palms Park, ripping 15 hits in a 13-5 win over ASA-Miami.

The game was never a contest as after putting up a zero in the top half of the 1st inning, the Bucs put up a touchdown, and kicked the extra point in the bottom half of the frame.  After Connor Bagnieski singled to begin the game, Tommy Joseph doubled him home to give FSW a 1-0 lead.  Following a pair of walks, Cameran Brantley unloaded on a three run home run to right, quickly making it 4-0 Buccaneers.  They weren't done there as Ronny Medina singled home a run and Bagnieski got his second hit of the inning, this one an RBI single to open the lead up to 7-0 after one.

The Silver Storm struck with a two run shot of their own in the top of the 2nd to make it a 7-2 game, but the Bucs answered with two of their own in the bottom half of the frame, the second coming on an RBI single from Noah Heisler to push the lead back to seven at 9-2.

The action continued in the 3rd as ASA got a two run double and another run on a passed ball to slice into the FSW lead at 9-5.

The Bucs answered though, putting up another crooked number thanks to an ASA error and an RBI single from Brantley to make it 11-5.

The Bucs extended their lead in the 6th when Axel Melendez picked up an RBI double to push the lead to 12-5 and got an RBI knock in the 8th from Medina to make it 13-5.

The Bucs bullpen took it from there, keeping ASA off the board in the final two innings to close out the 13-5 victory.

Six different Bucs had mult-hit games in the win including Brantley who finished a triple shy of the cycle while going 3-5 with 4 RBIs and 2 runs scored.  Heisler and Melendez each had 3 hits as well, both scoring and driving in a run in the process.  Daniel Vos, Joseph, and Brendan Koester worked 6 straight scoreless innings out of the FSW bullpen, Joseph earning the win to improve to 2-0 while Koester picked up his first save with 3 goose eggs to close out the night.

The Bucs improve to 10-6 on the year, giving Head Coach Ben Bizier his 50th win with FSW.  ASA-Miami falls to 4-9.

FSW is back in action on Thursday when they host the Korean Professional Organization's Kia Tigers in exhibition action beginning at 6 PM.  The Tigers roster is managed by five time Major League Baseball All-Star Matt Williams and features three players that played in MLB last season.
