PALATKA, Fla.- The script flipped for the Florida SouthWestern State Baseball team on Sunday as instead of coming from behind themselves, Miami Dade came back on them, using three 8th inning FSW errors to score three runs in a 6-4 to drop the Bucs to 9-6 on the year.

Things got off to a good start for the Bucs as they plated a 1st inning run on an RBI single from Matthew Corpas to take an early 1-0 lead.

The lead was short lived though as Miami Dade answered back right away, plating a run in the bottom of the inning to even things up at 1-1.

The Bucs went back in front in the 2nd as Kalvin Alexander walked with one out and came around to score on a wild pitch to put FSW on top 2-1.

It remained a 2-1 game to the 5th when a solo home run for the Sharks tied the score at 2.

The back and forth continued in the 6th as Connor Bagnieski singled home a run to give FSW a 3-2 advantage.

It looked like the Bucs would take that lead to the 8th, but an ill timed error allowed Miami Dade to score the equalizer once again to knot the score up at 3.

One big swing from Alexander in the top of the 8th put FSW back in front on a solo home run.

The Bucs should have gotten through the 8th unscathed, but their defense crumbled on them, committing three errors which gift-wrapped three Miami Dade runs to give the Sharks their first lead of the day at 6-4.

FSW couldn't recover from the momentum shifting inning as they went down in order for just the second time on the day in the top of the 9th, bringing the game to a close with the Sharks winning it 6-4.

The Bucs actually outhit the Sharks in the contest, but a season high five FSW errors allowed Miami Dade to score four unearned runs which turned out to be the difference in the two run game. Bagnieski finished 3-5 atop the Bucs lineup while Jared Campbell and Jose Marcano each had two hits in the loss.  Mason Adams started for the Bucs and got a no decision, going 5 innings, allowing 5 hits and 2 runs while striking out 5.  Robert Wegielnik took the loss, allowing 3 unearned runs in 2 innings of work.

The Bucs fall to 9-6 on the year with the defeat while Miami Dade improves to 10-1.

FSW returns to action on Wednesday at City of Palms Park when they host ASA Miami in a non-conference contest beginning at 6 PM.
