Big Week Nets Grubisic Cabo Fourth Player of the Week Award

TALLAHASSEE, Fla.- Putting together three more solid performances, including back to back double-doubles in Buccaneer wins last week, sophomore Julija Grubisic Cabo has been named the FCSAA Offensive Player of the Week for the fourth time this season as announced by the State on Tuesday.

Grubisic Cabo continued to be the model of consistency for the Bucs, averaging 3.78 kills per set while hitting .375 on the pin in three FSW wins. Monday against #13 Eastern Florida she racked up a 12 kill, 10 dig double-double in a 3-0 Bucs sweep of the Titans and backed that up with a season high 14 kill performance to go along with 10 digs in a sweep of Santa Fe for her second straight double-double.  Saturday on the road at #16 Daytona State, she was rock solid again, finishing with 8 kills and 8 digs while hitting .389 as FSW got past the Falcons to improve to 17-1 on the year.

On the season Grubisic Cabo is averaging 3.39 kills per set while hitting .359 which ranks second among all outsides in the Citrus Conference. She has gotten it done on the defensive end as well, pulling up 2.75 digs per set which makes her one of just three players in the league to average over 3.00 kills per set and 2.75 digs per set on the year.

Grubisic Cabo was joined on the Player of the Week platform this week by teammate Camilla Brandalise who was named the state's Setter of the Week for the fifth time this season after averaging 8.75 assists per set last week.

Grubisic Cabo and the Bucs will now turn their attention to a big matchup on Wednesday at home at Suncoast Credit Union Arena in Fort Myers when they host #1 Miami Dade in a rematch of each of the past two NJCAA National Championship Games beginning at 6 PM.
