TALLAHASSEE, Fla.- After leading the Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers to a pair of Citrus Conference wins last week, sophomore outside hitter Julija Grubisic Cabo has been named the FCSAA Player of the Week for the second time this season as announced by the State Office on Tuesday.

Grubisic Cabo averaged 3.50 kills and 2.80 digs per set for the Bucs in a pair of matches last week, hitting .436 in the victories. Wednesday against #16 Hillsborough she notched her fourth double-double of the season, putting up 12 kills and 13 digs while hitting .556 in a 3-0 sweep of the Hawks.  Saturday she put together another workmanlike performance, finishing with 9 kills and just 2 errors, good for a .333 hitting mark to help the Bucs past #19 Eastern Florida 3-0.

Grubisic Cabo has been rock solid for the Bucs this season, averaging 3.34 kills per set while hitting .348 through 10 matches.  She has recorded 10 or more points for the Bucs in 9 of 10 matches and has 10 or more kills in 7 of 10.

Off to a 10-0 start to the 2024 season, Grubisic Cabo and the top ranked Bucs hit the road on Tuesday for a National Championship Game rematch when they lock up with #2 Miami Dade in Miami in a 6 PM first serve.
