3-0 Week Keeps Bucs at #1 in National Rankings

FORT MYERS, Fla.- As the last remaining unbeaten team in the NJCAA Division I ranks, the Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers held their top spot atop the National Rankings on Monday, unanimously voted as the #1 team in the country for the fourth consecutive week.

The Bucs were 3-0 last week, upping their record to 12-0 on the season. FSW bookended their week with 3-0 sweeps over Santa Fe and Indian River with a big win Thursday over #15 and then undefeated Daytona State in the middle.  The Bucs run to 12-0 hasn't been a cakewalk either as they have three wins over teams ranked in this week's Top 10 and six wins over teams ranked in the Top 20 this week while also earning victories over Iowa Western and Polk State, both of whom were Top 10 ranked teams at the time of their contests.

The top four teams including FSW held serve atop the week four rankings with Indian Hills, Snow, and Salt Lake falling in behind the Bucs while FCSAA rival Miami Dade makes their way back into the top five at #5.  Along with the Bucs and the Sharks, two other FCSAA squads were ranked this week with Hillsborough checking in at #14 and Daytona State at #18.

The Bucs tough road continues on Thursday as they play their eighth ranked team in 13 outings when #14 Hillsborough makes their way to Suncoast Credit Union Arena for a 6 PM first serve in Suncoast Conference action.
