CHARLOTTE, N.C.- The Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers remained the top team in the land this week, checking in in the #1 spot in the NJCAA National Rankings once again on Monday.
It was a light week for the Bucs last week as just two games were on their schedule. FSW broke out the bats for a sweep of Polk State, piling up 22 runs in a doubleheader sweep to move to 29-1 on the year.
The top three spots in the rankings all belonged to FCSAA teams as FSW earned the top spot with Northwest Florida at #2 and Indian River at #3. But there were many more Sunshine State squads in the mix as Seminole State moved up to #6, Miami Dade remained in the top 10 at #8, Daytona State stayed at #11, Eastern Florida moved up two spots to #17, Santa Fe checked in at #22, and Chipola made it nine FCSAA teams in the Top 25 at #23.
The Bucs are back in action on Tuesday when they host St. Petersburg in a doubleheader with first pitch scheduled for 1 PM at Buccaneers Park in Fort Myers.
