Bucs World Series Star Signs With Sand Sharks
FORT MYERS, Fla.- After finishing the season red hot, Florida SouthWestern sophomore Jaden Goodwin will look to carry that right into her NCAA career as the left handed slugger has signed at the University of South Carolina Beaufort where she will play for the Sand Sharks during the 2023-2024 season.

Goodwin made the most of her only season in Fort Myers, hitting .406 and reaching base at a .494 clip in 36 contests while helping lead Florida SouthWestern to their third straight NJCAA National Championship.  The bookends of Goodwin's season were sharp as she recorded multiple hits in two of her first three games with the Buccaneers this spring while saving her best for last, going a perfect 6-6 in FSW's semifinal win over Odessa and their National Championship game victory over Northwest Florida.

USC Beaufort will be making the transition to the NCAA Division II level next season after winning a trio of Sun Conference Championships at the NAIA level.

Goodwin will join FSW teammate Gabby Martin with the Sand Sharks.  The duo makes nine Bucs sophomores to sign at the four year level, joining Belle Sardja (South Florida), Laura Vigna (Mercer), Kylee Graham (Toledo), Shenita Tucker (Lamar), Carys Platt (Louisiana-Monroe), Camille Graham (Embry-Riddle), and Caroline Figueroa (Barry).
