Haggard Tabbed FCSAA Pitcher of the Week
TALLAHASSEE, Fla.- After dominating in the circle for the #2 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers last week, FSW sophomore hurler Baylee Haggard has been named the FCSAA Pitcher of the Week.

Opposing offenses did almost nothing against Haggard last week as the Bucs ace went a perfect 3-0 without allowing an earned run in 18 innings pitched.  Tuesday against Polk State she wielded a complete game shutout, scattering six hits and striking out six in a 10-0 FSW win over the Eagles.  Thursday she allowed just one hit in four innings of work to earn the win against St. Petersburg. She wrapped up the week with her second shutout, again going the distance, this time against Hillsborough, while allowing just five hits in her second shutout of the week.

Haggard is tied for the National lead with 20 wins on the season, posting a 1.04 ERA in 114 innings of work. She has been even better in Suncoast Conference play, going a perfect 7-0 with a microscopic 0.18 ERA in 39 innings of action.

Haggard is the second straight Bucs pitcher to earn Pitcher of the Week honors after staff mate Belle Sardja picked them up last week.

Haggard and the Bus are back in action on the road in Bradenton Tuesday to take on State College of Florida in a conference doubleheader.
