Klett/Clontz Sweep FCSAA Weekly Awards
TALLAHASSEE, Fla.- A pair of Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers swept the FCSAA weekly awards last week as Shanika Klett was named the state's Player of the Week and Sarah Clontz was named the Pitcher of the Week after their performances against Hillsborough.  
 
Klett was retired just once during the Bucs doubleheader against Hillsborough on Thursday.  In game one of the twinbill she went a perfect 4-4 with a double, three runs scored and three RBIs.  In game two she was at it again, going 2-3 with a pair of stolen bases in a 10-0 FSW win.
 
Klett has put together a great season for the Bucs, hitting .494 through 30 games with three home runs and 30 RBIs.  She has been on fire of late for the Bucs, recording multi-hit games in seven of FSW's past eight contests, hitting .643 during the stretch.  
 
Clontz spun a shutout in her only outing of the week, going five innings and scattering six hits in a 10-0 win over Hillsborough. 
 
In 12 outings this season she is 5-0 with a save, notching a 2.38 ERA in her 35 1/3 innings worked.  
 
FSW is 28-3 on the year and the top ranked team in the NJCAA as they ride an 11 game winning streak.  Klett, Clontz, and the rest of the Bucs will be back in action tonight on the road at South Florida State, taking on the Panthers in a Suncoast Conference doubleheader at 5 PM in Avon Park.
