Laudino Tabbed FCSAA Player of the Week
TALLAHASSEE, Fla.- Hitting .611 with eight stolen bases at the NFCA Classic in Columbus, Georgia over the weekend, Florida SouthWestern State sophomore Rebeca Laudino has been named the FCSAA Player of the Week. 
 
Laudino remained red hot for the Bucs last weekend, recording at least one hit, run scored, and stolen base in all five FSW contests.  She hit .611 on the week and finished with eight stolen bases.  in Friday's win over Georgia Military she was 2-3 with a pair of stolen bases.  In FSW's next game she was a perfect 4-4 with two more bags and three runs scored.  In their third game of the day Friday she went 3-4 with her fifth and sixth stolen bases of the day against #11 Wallace State. Saturday she again had hits and stolen bases in FSW wins over D2 #3 Louisburg and Gordon State including driving in the game winning run against the Hurricanes. 
 
After starting the season slow, Laudino has now hit in  11 straight, raising her batting average to .443 with a team best 11 stolen bases on the season.  
 
Laudino and the Bucs are 19-3 overall on the year and ranked 3rd in the latest NJCAA Top 20.  The Bucs are in the midst of an extended downtime ahead of Suncoast Conference play where they will be in action on March 16th when they host South Florida State in a doubleheader from City of Palms Park.
