KENDALL, Fla.- The top ranked Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers put on an offensive exhibition Tuesday afternoon on the road in Miami, scoring 23 runs in just 10 innings of work, sweeping Miami Dade 13-5 and 10-2 in a pair of run rules to improve to 6-0 on the season.

There was lots of action in the 1st inning, some good, some bad for the Bucs.  The good came in the top half of the frame when the Bucs jumped in front right off the bat, scoring a pair of runs on a one out Miami Dade error to take an early 2-0 lead.  Three pitches later they doubled their advantage when Natavia Ellis launched a 1-1 pitch out to left field for a two run shot to make it 4-0 Bucs.  They weren't done yet as they loaded the bases back up in front of a sacrifice fly from Eliska Stejkalova to five FSW a 5-0 lead before the Sharks got a chance to bat.

Unfortunately, the bad was close behind.  Miami Dade put together back to back hits to start their half of the inning to get on the board and an FSW error allowed another run to score to make it 5-2. A sac fly pushed their third run of the frame home and a two out home run cut the Bucs lead to just one at 5-4 after an eventful 1st inning of action.

The Bucs got a run back in the 2nd when Lindsey Corbin singled to start the inning and stole second before scoring on an RBI single back up the middle from Taylor Jensen to make it 6-4 FSW.

With two on and two out in the 3rd, the Bucs were back for more as Feline Poot crushed a 2-1 pitch out of the park to center for a three run home run, cushioning the FSW lead to 9-4 after three.

After a scoreless 4th continued to put pressure on the Sharks in the top half of the 5th inning, pushing four more runs across, highlighted by RBI knocks from Shanika Klett and Jensen to blow the lead open to 13-4.

Miami Dade got a run back in the 5th to make it 13-5, but couldn't get any more as the Bucs closed them out and kicked in the run rule after five.

The Bucs banged out 13 hits in the win, led by Corbin and Jensen who combined to go a perfect 7 for 7 at the plate.  Poot and Ellis both homered and combined for five runs driven home while Klett had two hits and two RBIs in the win.  Alyssa O'Donnell went the distance in the circle for the Bucs, allowing four hits and two earned runs to earn her second win of the early season.

In game two, things were a little slower to get going as each team plated just one run through the first two innings with the score tied 1-1 into the 3rd

The Bucs bats woke up in the 3rd as Beth Reid singled to start the inning for FSW and Poot launched her second homer of the day the other way to quickly make it a 3-1 game.  Later in the inning Chelsea Brown ripped an RBI single to right, extending the Bucs advantage to 4-1 after three.

Sterre Den Duijn led off the FSW 4th with a solo bomb to left and Poot drove home another run with a single the other way to push the Bucs lead to 6-1 and they weren't done yet.  With two on, Corbin got in on the home run fun, lifting a three run shot up and out to make it 9-1 FSW.

The Bucs made it a 10-1 game in the 5th when Reid doubled over the center fielder's head to drive home a run and Brooke Geiger finished things off in the bottom half of the inning in the circle to close out a 10-2 run rule win for FSW.

The Bucs banged out 15 hits in the win, getting 3 for 3 games from the bookends of their lineup with Poot collecting three hits and driving home three at the top and Reid picking up three hits while scoring a pair of runs at the bottom. Brown and Den Duijn each went 2 for 2 with an RBI in the win.  Emily Perrin earned the win in the circle, going three innings and allowing just three hits and one unearned run to improve to 3-0 on the year.
