FORT MYERS, FLA.- Following their fourth straight Suncoast Conference Championship, 11 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers have been named to the league's All-Conference team as announced by the conference on Tuesday.  Rebeca Laudino was named the Suncoast Conference Player of the Year and Kelsi Collins was honored as the Pitcher of the Year.

Rebeca Laudino had a monster freshman year en route to being named the Suncoast Conference Player of the Year in her first season in Purple and Aqua.  She led the league in hitting with a .529 average, .106 higher than any other player in the conference.  Her 32 hits were most of any player during conference action as she recorded a hit in 19 of FSW's 20 Suncoast games on the year.

Kelsi Collins was the easy choice for the Suncoast Conference Pitcher of the Year in 2019.  She finished 9-0 in 11 conference starts, posting a 1.55 ERA with 46 strikeouts in 54 1/3 innings pitched.  Overall on the year, Collins has a state best 24-0 record and 1.05 ERA for the Bucs.

Paris Woods was named a 1st Team selection in the outfield for the Bucs.  Her 20 RBI's in conference play trailed only teammate Owen Bowers as she hit .397 with eight extra base hits in 20 conference contests.  Her 14 stolen bases without being caught in league play were the most in the Suncoast.

The aforementioned Bowers was a 1st Team pick at designated player after driving home 33 runs in 20 conference games, 13 more than anybody else in the conference.  She also led the league with eight home runs in conference play while hitting .411 and slugging .964.

On the mound, the Bucs had three first team picks.  Along with Collins, Sarah Lawton and Haley Ellefson were also tabbed 1st Team selections.  Lawton pitched in half of the Bucs conference matchups, going 5-1 with a pair of saves for FSW.  She worked 35 1/3 innings, posting a 1.58 ERA with 35 strikeouts.  Ellefson was a perfect 5-0 in five conference starts, posting a league low 0.84 ERA, allowing just three earned runs in 25 innings pitched in conference action.

Three Bucs were named 2nd Team All-Conference led by first baseman Natavia Ellis.  Ellis put together solid numbers in her first Suncoast Conference season, hitting .443 in league play, cracking eight extra base hits, while driving in 18.  She had eight multi-hit games in conference play including three, three hit contests.
