Bucs Clip Century Mark In Fifth Straight Win

FORT MYERS, Fla.- Playing in their final home game of the 2025 season, the Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers put on a show for the Bucs faithful Saturday, lighting up the scoreboard for 102 points with all 11 dressed players scoring and 10 of those players scoring six or more points in a 102-61 blowout win over the Indian River State Pioneers to improve to 18-9 on the year. 
 
It was the K'jei Parker show early on for the Bucs as she sophomore drilled three three pointers in the first four minutes of the contest to get FSW out to a 16-4 lead against Indian River. Abdoulaye Konate found Jeremy Innocent for a two handed slam to keep the lead at 12 before the under 12 media timeout and back to back threes from Jahmari Johnson and Chol Machot blew the lead open to 35-16 at the midway point of the first. Breno Silva scored nine straight for the Bucs to extend the lead to 47-23 with 4:00 to go in the first and FSW went to the locker room doubling up the Pioneers 54-27. 
 
The Bucs continued to pour it on the Pioneers as Ahmed Soumahoro drilled a three and then threw down a highlight reel slam in transition to make it 64-31 FSW with 16:21 remaining. Matt Vaughn checked in and made an immediate impact for the Bucs, swishing home a three and then pulling down a rebound and firing it ahead to Silva for a three of his own to blow it open to 89-51 FSW. Roman Cummings finished a dunk at the rim to put the Bucs on the doorstep of 100 and FSW crossed that threshold on a late triple from Silva to finish off a 102-61 win. 
 
The Bucs shot 54% from the field and hit on 50% from downtown.  10 different players scored 6 or more points in the win, led by Silva who finished 7 of 8 from the field with 17 points. Vaughn scored a career high 8 in 11 minutes of work off the FSW bench. 
 
FSW extends the longest win streak in the state to give games as they improve to 18-9 overall and 11-4 in Citrus Conference play where they are tied for second place with Eastern Florida going into the final game of the regular season. Indian River's struggles continue as they fall to 9-20 overall and drop to 2-13 in conference action. 
 
The Bucs will close out the regular season on Monday when they will have the opportunity to take a statement win into the postseason as they battle #9 Daytona State on the road in Daytona Beach with tip off set for 7 PM.
