CHARLOTTE, N.C.- Off to a 2-0 start to their 2024-2025 season, the Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers found their way into the first NJCAA Division I Men's Basketball Poll on Tuesday, checking in at #25 after two weeks of play.
The Bucs got off to a 2-0 start to the year with a pair of victories at the Trojans Classic in Albany, Georgia last weekend. FSW opened their season with a 68-57 win over Lurleen B. Wallace before whacking the host Albany Tech Trojans 89-55 before heading back to the Sunshine State.
The week one poll was led by South Plains, Barton, and Northwest Florida while Trinity Valley and Howard rounded out the Top 5. The Bucs were one of three Citrus Conference teams in the Top 25 with Eastern Florida at #12 and Daytona State at #23.
The Bucs are scheduled to be back in action next Thursday in their home opener when they take on Ranger in a 7 PM start from Suncoast Credit Union Arena in Fort Myers.
