FORT MYERS, Fla.- It will be a Buccaneer reunion of sorts in Spartanburg, South Carolina next season as Florida SouthWestern guard Karmani Gregory has signed to join former FSW Head Coach Marty Richter at the University of South Carolina-Upstate next season.
Gregory played in 20 games for the Bucs this season, putting up 9.3 points and 2.6 assists per contest. He scored in double figures nine times this season including a career high 23 on 9-14 shooting against Indian River and his first career 20 point performance in a win over Albany Tech. Running the point for the Bucs, Gregory had 5 assists in five different games for FSW.
Gregory will join a transfer heavy roster at Upstate which will be led by former FSW Head Coach Marty Richter for the first time in 2024-2025. Gregory is one of six transfers brought in by Richter in less than a month for the Spartans.
Gregory is one of six Bucs to sign at the NCAA Division I level this season joining teammates Dezdrick Lindsay (Oregon), Jaehshon Thomas (Radford), Reis Jones (Charleston Southern), Yvens Paul (Eastern Kentucky), and AJ Hopkins (UT-Martin).
