Bucs Sharpshooter Inks With Maroon Tigers

FORT MYERS, Fla.- After two seasons with the Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers, sharpshooting guard Omar Rowe has signed to continue his career with the Maroon Tigers of Morehouse College.

Rowe played in 35 games for the Bucs the past two seasons, putting up just under 5 points per game while shooting 36% from the three point line.  Before his freshman season in 2021-2022 was cut short by injury, Rowe was in line to have a big campaign, averaging 8.1 points per game and shooting 46% from deep through eight FSW contests.  He started his Buccaneer career with a bang, torching the nets for 20 points in just 20 minutes while drilling six three pointers in an FSW win over Victory Rock.  Rowe put a whole new definition to the term 'free' throw, missing just one charity in 25 chances in two seasons, good for a clip of 96%.

Morehouse put together an 18-10 record in 2022-2023, going 14-7 to win the East Division title in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.

Rowe is the ninth FSW sophomore to sign at the four year level this season, joining teammates Jadrian Tracey (Oregon), Tyson Brown (Rhode Island), Bradley Douglas (Arkansas-Little Rock), Jemal Davis (Central Michigan), Wesley Oba (Delaware State), Jordan Mitchell (Southern), Allen Udemadu (Morgan State), and Trace Darby (Aurora).
