Bucs Big Man Headed to Baltimore

FORT MYERS, Fla.- Florida SouthWestern sophomore Allen Udemadu is headed to the Division I level next season after signing at Morgan State University in Baltimore during a signing ceremony at Suncoast Credit Union Arena last week.

Udemadu played in 25 games for the Bucs this season, averaging 4.5 points and 3.3 rebounds per game while shooting a team best 59% from the field. Offensively, he had his best game of the season in late November against Polk State when he went for a season high 15 points on a perfect 6-6 shooting in a 111-56 FSW win over the Eagles.   Defensively and on the glass his best effort came late in the year against Southern Conference rival Indian River when he pulled down 7 rebounds and blocked a career high 4 shots against the Pioneers.

Udemadu will join a Morgan State squad coming off of a 15-16 campaign in which they went 7-7 in MEAC play to reach the conference tournament.  The Bears were tough at home in Baltimore, going 10-2 at Talmadge Hill Field House.

Udemadu is the fourth FSW sophomore to sign at the Division I level this season, joining teammates Jadrian Tracey (Oregon), Tyson Brown (Rhode Island), and Bradley Douglas (Arkansas-Little Rock), and is the 10th Buc to move onto the Division I level in the past two seasons.
