FORT MYERS, Fla.- The Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers shot 67% from the field and put up a season high 126 points Tuesday night in a 126-36 bludgeoning of the visiting Florida Coastal Prep Spartans in non-conference action in Suncoast Credit Union Arena.

The Bucs started the game with a pair of threes and went to the inside and Tyson Brown after that for six straight to give FSW an early 12-2 lead over Florida Coastal. It was layup after layup for the Bucs through the first part of the first half as they upped their lead to 29-10 midway through the period before taking a 61-17 lead into the break at half.  FSW shot 70% from the field and 46% from the three point line in the first 20 minutes while holding the Spartans to just 22% shooting.

Three straight steals and dunks for the Bucs early in the second half pushed their lead past 50 but they didn't stop there as a three in the corner from Wesley Oba made it 86-23 with 14:15 to go.  The Bucs hit the century mark with 9:55 to go when Jordan Mitchell found Allen Udemadu for an easy two and FSW would cruise to the finish line, taking it 126-36 at the final horn.

FSW shot a season best 67% from the field in the win while FCP hit on just 25% of their attempts.  Eight Bucs scored in double figures in the victory, led by Oba who finished 9-11 from the field and 19 points.  Jemal Davis had his second straight big game with 17 points and 7 rebounds in 8-11 shooting, while Brown recorded his seventh straight double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds in just 19 minutes of work.

The Bucs win their sixth straight to improve to 7-3 on the year while FCP falls to 0-6 against NJCAA opponents this season.

Things will get a bit tougher for FSW this weekend as they travel to Melbourne for the Florida Juco Shootout. Saturday the Bucs square off with perennial Mid-Florida power Eastern Florida before taking on #3 Chipola Sunday to wrap up the weekend.
