Six Bucs Named All-Southern Conference

TALLAHASSEE, Fla.- Bryant Selebangue, Jonathan Dos Anjos, and Marcus Niblack led six Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers named to the All-Southern Conference teams released on Friday. 

Bryant Selebangue was the Bucs top vote getter, earning 1st Team All-Conference accolades for FSW.  He put up 12.0 points and 11.4 rebounds per game during conference play while shooting an eye-popping 72% from the field.  He had six double-doubles during Southern Conference play including a monster 23 point, 18 rebound performance against Hillsborough to earn FCSAA Player of the Week honors. 

Joining Selebangue on the 1st Team was Jonathan Dos Anjos who earns the honors for the second straight season.  He started all 12 conference contests for the Bucs this season, averaging 12.4 points and 5.8 rebounds per night while shooting 54% from the field.  He had back to back 20 point performances in FSW wins over State College of Florida and Hillsborough in the first round of conference action. 

The third Buc on the 1st Team was guard Marcus Niblack.  Niblack came up huge down the stretch for the Bucs, finishing conference play as FSW's leading scorer at 15.5 points per game.  He had three 20+ point scoring performances including a 31 point outburst on the road at #2 Indian River.

Leading three Bucs on the 2nd Team was sophomore Kaiyem Cleary.  Cleary 10.4 points and 4.8 rebounds per night in conference play for the Bucs, drilling a team high 20 threes in conference action.  He scored in double figures in 6 of 12 conference games for FSW including a 21 point effort against Miami Dade late in the year.

Klein Alexandre also earned a 2nd Team All-Conference nod for the Bucs.  A defensive stalwart, Alexandre also contributed on the offensive end of the floor during conference action, upping his production to 7.8 points per game in league play while shooting 47% from the field. 

Rounding out the selections for the Bucs was Rhyjon Blackwell who was a 2nd Team pick.  Blackwell put up 6.8 points per game and shot 44% from the field in 12 conference tilts.  He had a pair of standout performances, going for 20 points each in contests against State College of Florida and Hillsborough. 

Two more Bucs were honored for their efforts during the conference season as Jordan Mitchell and Cameron Stitt were both named Honorable Mention All-Conference. 

The Bucs head to the playoffs next week with a 23-5 record and are seeded 4th for the upcoming FCSAA State Tournament.  They will matchup first in the bracket with Santa Fe, Wednesday at 9 PM (EST) in Niceville, Florida with a trip to the tournament semifinals on the line.
