FORT MYERS, Fla.- The #15 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers found their footing offensively Wednesday night in Suncoast Credit Union Arena, shooting a blazing 61% from the field in the first half and scoring a season high 97 points in route to a 97-66 blowout of Central Pointe Prep Academy.

The first five minutes of action were actually highly competitive with the teams trading a pair of leads to a 9-8 FSW advantage at the 15:00 mark.  A three from Kaiyem Cleary got FSW rolling and the Bucs went on a 9-0 run to open up a 10 point lead at 18-8 two minutes later. The Bucs continued to push as Jaden Campbell flushed one home with one hand and CJ Jackson hammered a highlight reel dunk to open the lead to 37-23. It was dunk city from there on for the final eight minutes of the half for FSW as Modibo Sanogo and Jonathan Dos Anjos got in on the action before a Terry Roberts steal and slam made it 54-28 Bucs in the closing moments of the period.  A Roberts to Kario Oquendo alley oop put the cherry on top of the first half cake for FSW as the Bucs took a comfortable 56-30 lead into the break at half.

It was more of the same for the Bucs in the second half as they took their first 30 point lead of the night on a smooth turnaround jumper from Roberts to make it 64-34.  A two handed throw down from Mohamed Sylla midway through the half continued the Bucs run and a three from Kahari Rogers once again pushed the lead to 30 with 4:00 to go. The Bucs had a couple of shots at the century mark in the closing moments, but couldn't get a shot to fall, settling for a 97-66 victory to improve to 4-1 on the year.

The Bucs shot an even 50% in the contest, getting a career high 16 points from Campbell and 15 from Oquendo in the win. Roberts, as usual, packed the stat sheet, scoring 16 points, dishing out 7 assists, pulling down 6 rebounds, and picking off 5 steals for FSW.

FSW moves to 4-1 in its final tune-up before beginning Southern Conference play.  The Bucs will have one week to prepare for their new conference debut next Wednesday when they travel to Lake Worth to take on Palm Beach State in a 7:30 tip.
