WINTER HAVEN, Fla.- The #2 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers became the first team in Florida to 21 wins this season on Saturday in Winter Haven, jumping early and never letting up on Polk State to pick up a 94-79 win and move to 21-1 overall and 4-0 in Suncoast Conference action on the season.

The Bucs jumped on the Eagles early, shooting 53% in the first half, while holding Polk to just 39% shooting and 0-10 from three point land to take a 13 point lead into the half 46-33.

It was more of the same in the second as they dominated the glass to stretch their lead out and eventually put the Eagles away 94-79.

FSW shot 49% from the field and allowed Polk to shoot an uncharacteristically high number against them at 46%.  The Bucs dominated the boards, outrebounding Polk 47-27 on the afternoon while getting to the free throw line 33 times, cashing in on 22 attempts.  Jermaine Marshall put together a big double-double for the Bucs, going for 17 points and 15 rebounds while Keon Ellis led the club with 21 points.

The Bucs are now 21-1 on the year and winners of 14 straight after Saturday.  Polk State falls to 14-6 and 2-2 in league play.

FSW is back in action on Wednesday when they start the second round of conference play up against St. Petersburg on the road. The Bucs and Titans will tip at approximately 7:30 or 20 minutes after the conclusion of the women's game.
