FORT MYERS, Fla. – After suffering their first loss of the 2019-2020 season on Friday night in overtime against Snow, the #2 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers rebounded in a big way on Saturday, taking out their frustrations with a 111-70 win over visiting Denmark Tech to improve to 8-1 on the year.

The Bucs set the tone right from the opening tip, bursting out to an 11-2 lead just 3:34 in and pushing that lead to 20-5 on a three pointer by Jalen Finch less than two minutes later.  A highlight reel dunk by Ralph Bissainthe gave FSW a 20 point lead at 29-9 and they stretched their lead to 39-12 on a bucket from Jaden Campbell at the midway point of the first half.  Denmark Tech showed some fight, cutting the Bucs lead to 17 at one point, but FSW scored the final five points of the half, including a buzzer beating layup from Keon Ellis to take a 55-33 lead into the break at half.

FSW didn't let up as the second half started, taking their first 30 point lead of the night on a triple from Ellis and stretched that advantage to 82-44 on a put back slam from Bissainthe with 11:25 left on the clock.  The Bucs continued to pour it on, going on a 12-0 run highlighted by five straight from Campbell to take their largest lead of the night at 96-49.  FSW hit the century mark for the second time on the year with 5:10 remaining when Terry Roberts finished at the rim and they would go on to win it 111-70 at the final horn to improve to 8-1 on the year.

A night after shooting just 38%, FSW connected on 57% from the field and also took care of business at the free throw line, hitting on 17 of 24 attempts. Five different players reached double figures in scoring including Jermaine Marshall and Campbell who scored career highs with 15 and 12 respectively.

FSW moves to 8-1 on the year with the win while Denmark Tech remains winless at 0-6.

The Bucs return to action on Tuesday when they play on the road at ASA Miami before the Silver Storm makes a return trip to Fort Myers on Sunday, December 1st for a matinee affair in Suncoast Credit Union Arena.
