Sooie! Thomas Set to Join Razorbacks Next Season

FORT MYERS, Fla.- Florida SouthWestern State outfielder Justin Thomas will be headed back to the SEC next season after the Georgia transfer signed with the University of Arkansas to join the Razorbacks in 2024-2025.

Thomas played his freshman season at the University of Georgia where he saw action in 25 games, starting eight for the Bulldogs.  He hit .193 with a double, a home run, and five RBIs while going 3-4 in stolen base attempts. His first career hit was a home run at Georgia Southern.

Thomas flashed a five tool set this fall with the Bucs working with former Arkansas, turned FSW, Assistant Coach Cullen Smith.  He is widely considered one of the top junior college prospects heading into the 2024 campaign which will start for the Bucs on January 26th in Bradenton when they take on Northwest Florida State.

Thomas will join a storied Arkansas program which opens the 2024 season ranked #2 in the Perfect Game Top 25. The Razorbacks are coming off of a 43-18 campaign which saw them host the Fayetteville Regional during the NCAA Tournament where they fell coincidentally to Thomas' FSW teammate Jared Davis' brother Austin and the TCU Horned Frogs.

Thomas is one of six Power 5 and 11 overall early signees for the Bucs this season joining Landon O'Donnell (Florida State), Jared Davis (Virginia Tech), Victor Figueroa and Isaac Upole (Pittsburgh), Alex Walsh (Oklahoma State), Reyn Watson and Nate Earley (Appalachian State), Logan O'Leary (UNC-Charlotte), Luca Danos (Loyola Marymount), and Jahir Perez (Southeastern).
