Ellerts Named FCSAA Pitcher of the Week
TALLAHASSEE, Fla.- After a dominating performance against Hillsborough last week, Florida SouthWestern righthander Magnus Ellerts has been named the FCSAA Pitcher of the Week as announced by the state on Tuesday.

Ellerts threw a complete game shutout against the Hillsborough on Saturday night to help the Bucs complete the three game sweep against their Suncoast Conference rivals.  Impressive enough on its own, it was the fashion in which Ellerts dominated the Hawks that was even more eye popping. He yielded just one hit and racked up 12 strikeouts on the night without allowing a single runner to reach second base in the win.  Even more, there was a runner on base for just 14 of Ellerts' 85 total pitches in the contest.

Ellerts is 4-0 on the year with a 2.20 ERA in 32 2/3 innings pitched.  The big righty has struck out 49 and allowed just 16 hits on the year, holding opposing hitters to just a .143 batting average on the season.

Ellerts and the Bucs wrap up a five game home stand Wednesday at City of Palms Park in Downtown Fort Myers when they host the ASA Miami Silver Storm in non-conference action slated for a 3 PM first pitch.
