WINTER HAVEN, Fla.- Behind a huge offensive game from Christian Lucio and a four hit contest from Warnner Rincones, the #9 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers rolled to their seventh straight win Monday night on the road in Winter Haven, taking care of the Polk State Eagles 13-5 to improve to 14-3 in Suncoast Conference play on the year.  With his four hits, Rincones breaks the FSW all-time hits record with 129 in his Buccaneer career.

The Bucs got on the board right away Monday as Christian Lucio launched his eighth homer of the year with two outs in the 1st to give FSW an early 1-0 lead.

Polk answered with a run of their own in the bottom of the 1st, but FSW was back at it in the 2nd, getting RBI doubles from Matthew Corpas and Warnner Rincones and an RBI single from Lucio to make it 4-1 Bucs after an inning and a half.

FSW starter Enrique Cotto kept it right there through four and his offense gave him some more breathing room in the middle innings as the Bucs got a run in the 5th on a Polk error and  two more in the 6th on a single from Jared Campbell to make it 7-1 FSW into the 7th.

The Bucs blew the game wide open before stretch time as Axel Melendez ripped an RBI single to make it 8-1 and Rincones picked up his fourth hit of the game and 129th in his career, this one an RBI double to put the Bucs in front 9-1 and break the school's all-time record for hits in a career.  They weren't done there as Lucio crushed a two run triple to right and then scored on a wild pitch to make it 12-1 FSW at the end of 6 1/2.

The Bucs couldn't kick in the run rule as Polk scored a pair in the 7th to make it 12-3, but FSW would get another insurance run late before finishing off a 13-5 win to clinch the series victory.

Rincones and Lucio led an 11 hit attack for the Bucs as Rincones was 4-6 with a pair of doubles and three runs scored while Lucio was 3-5 with a triple, a home run and four RBIs, missing the cycle by just a double.  Cotto pitched six solid innings to earn his fourth win of the season, allowing just four hits and one run while striking out six. The FSW bullpen recorded eight of nine outs in the final three innings via strikeout.

The Bucs win their seventh straight to improve to 33-10 on the year while upping their Suncoast Conference mark to 14-3. Polk State falls to 26-16 and drops four games back off the conference pace at 10-7.

FSW and Polk will lock up one more time on Wednesday at City of Palms Park in Fort Myers to close out the series. First pitch is set for 3 PM in Downtown Fort Myers.
