Bucs' Fote Signs With Central Connecticut State
FORT MYERS, Fla.- After one season in the Sunshine State, Florida SouthWestern freshman Tyler Fote will head North, signing with NCAA Division I Central Connecticut State where he will have four years to compete with the Blue Devils.

Fote played in 14 games for the Buccaneers as a rookie in 2020.  He was on the basepaths regularly, posting a .400 on base percentage while going a perfect 3-3 in stolen base attempts.  With a keen eye at the plate, Fote walked 11 times and was hit three times in 39 at bats.

He will join a Central Connecticut squad coming off a Northeast Conference Championship in their last complete season, reaching an NCAA Regional where they upset PAC 12 member California in Arkansas' Baum Stadium.

With Fote inking with the Blue Devils, eight players off of the Bucs 2020 squad have signed with NCAA Division I programs and 21 in the past two seasons under Head Coach Ben Bizier.
