FORT MYERS, Fla.- The Florida SouthWestern State Athletic Department brought home an NJCAA high three awards in the 2YSIDA Graphics & Publications Contest for the 2020-2021 athletic year, claiming 1st place accolades for their team schedule poster and game notes while earning 2nd place in the gameday graphics category.
The Bucs earned their first 1st place award with their poster schedule. Because of the unknowns of the 2020-2021 season being played in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Bucs went a little bit outside of the box on their poster schedule this season. Instead of a traditional design, they opted instead to go with QR codes for each team's schedule to assure accuracy throughout the year.
FSW was also given the award for the top game notes in the country. Each game, Bucs fans are able to enjoy game notes at City of Palms Park or at Suncoast Credit Union Arena. Those notes include rosters and statistical information for both teams, conference and national standings and rankings, as well as a game preview among other things. Game notes are available both in person and online for fans, media, and coaches before, during, and after each game.
Garnering 2nd place honors in the gameday graphics category was the Bucs Volleyball Conference Championship graphic. Each game special graphics are created to help promote FSW Athletics on social media. These gameday graphics range from pregame previews to in game score alerts, to players of the game, and more.
The Bucs two 1st place awards were best in the country while their three awards overall tied for the top mark.
