Bucs Draw #6 Seed, Will Take On Defending Champs in First National Tournament

WEST PLAINS, MO.- The Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers will open up their first NJCAA National Tournament in program history as the #6 seed in the bracket, holding the seed of their final National Ranking as announced by the NJCAA National Office on Monday afternoon.

It will be quite the disparity of tournament history for the Bucs and their first round opponent as FSW, playing in their first tournament match, will take on the defending National Champion and 11th seeded Navarro Bulldogs in the opening round.  Joining the Bucs and Bulldogs in their quadrant of the bracket will be #3 Snow and #14 Barton.  FSW and Navarro will go head to head in the first match of the tournament at 9 AM (CT) on Thursday, April 15th in the West Plains Civic Center.

The tournament is a false double elimination tournament meaning that once a team loses, they are unable to win the championship, but will continue to play through for 3rd, 5th, 7th, and 9th places until they are eliminated with their second loss.  To win the National Championship, teams have to win a grueling four matches in less than 60 hours.

As expected, fellow FCSAA member and undefeated Miami Dade claimed the #1 seed in the tournament, they are followed by Odessa, Snow, Utah State-Eastern, and Iowa Western in front of the Bucs at #6.
