Lucky #7 For Bucs in Week 8 Rankings

CHARLOTTE, N.C.- The Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers will hope that 7 is their lucky number as they head into the 2021 postseason as that is where they are ranked in the latest NJCAA Top 20 Poll released by the National Office on Monday.

The Bucs dropped one spot in this week's poll after dropping their first game in nearly a month on Friday at Indian River.  FSW began the week with a 3-1 road win over Hillsborough to wrap up a perfect Suncoast Conference slate before falling to the Pioneers on the road to move to 16-4 overall on the year.

The Top 5 in the week eight poll remained the same with Miami Dade and Odessa continuing to lead the way at #1 and #2 with Snow, Utah State Eastern, and Iowa Western falling in behind.  The Bucs are one of six FCSAA teams ranked in the Top 20 in this week's poll, joined by the aforementioned Miami Dade Sharks at #1, Polk State at #8, Santa Fe at #15, Daytona State at #18, and Indian River at #20, all six teams who have already qualified for what should be a highly competitive Region VIII Tournament later this month.

The Bucs schedule is clear through their opening match of the FCSAA State Tournament on March 25th, they will know their opponent when the bracket is announced on Thursday.
