Bucs Sharpshooter Headed to Little Rock
FORT MYERS, Fla.- Florida SouthWestern sharpshooter Ashley Lester will be taking her talents to the Natural State next season after signing her National Letter of Intent to play at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock next season.

Lester was a 1st Team All-Conference selection for the Bucs as a freshman last season, averaging 12.0 points per game while shooting a team best 35% from the three point line. She scored in double figures 16 times on the year including topping the 20 point mark on five occasions. Lester worked her way into the starting lineup early on in her rookie campaign after exploding for 24 points on 6-12 from distance in the Bucs win over Yavapai and started the final 25 games of the year after that.  She put up a career high 32 on 9-14 from the field and 6-11 from three point land in an 87-80 FSW win over Hillsborough midway through the Citrus Conference schedule.

She will join a Little Rock squad that came on late in the year, finishing 12-18 overall after an 11-7 record in Ohio Valley Conference action which was good for a second place finish in league play.

Lester becomes the fourth FSW player to sign at the Division I level off of their 2023-2024 squad, and fifth overall, joining Addison Potts (Cal State Northridge), Kiana Wilson (Southern), Makenna Shaffer (Buffalo), and Federica Lagana (Lincoln Memorial).
